Hahn Tactical Gunsmith Services

Semi-Auto Rifle Builds:

Our trained and experienced gunsmith can build a complete weapon tailored to fit your needs with whatever specific components/brands you prefer. Custom serialization, finishing and engraving is available. Prices vary depending on options.

Bolt Action Rifles:

Hahn Tactical specializes in building the most accurate competition bolt action rifles available. Each rifle is hand built around the customer and ammunition from start to finish exclusively by our gunsmith and guaranteed 1/2 MOA.

1911 Pistols:

Our signature 1911s are hand built using oversized components machined from bar stock tool steel. Custom grips, engraving and odd requests are welcome. Prices vary depending on options.

  • 45 ACP available non-ramped only
  • 38 Super, 9mm, 40 S&W & 10mm AUTO available ramped only
Pistol Blueprinting and Accurizing:

Our gunsmith is certified in repairing and upgrading most brands of pistols including Beretta, Glock, H&K and S&W. We have experience peening frames, squeezing slides, stippling, and just about anything else that can be done to a pistol.

Muzzle Threading:

Muzzle device installation and blending requests are welcome.

Barrel Pining and Welding:

Prices vary depending on re-finishing requirements and whether or not you provide the muzzle device and barrel. Weld is TIG and takes no more than one second so as not to heat and distort your barrel. The pin is typically ground flush so that it is nearly invisible.

NFA Trust Engraving, Custom Engraving and Custom Machining: Our deep engraving fiber laser is designed with gunsmiths in mind. It has no enclosure so we can engrave large firearms. The laser features a rotary chuck attachment for engraving around cylindrical objects such as suppressors, barrels and handguards.

Hahn Tactical - Bolt Action Rifles

The heart of a bolt action rifle, and in turn its inherent accuracy is a combination of its barrel and action. Hahn Tactical goes to extreme measures to ensure the quality of its machining practices is on par with the components that go into making some of the most accurate precision rifles on the market.

Action Inspection & Conformity
  • Action face is verified to be both flat and perpendicular to centerline of the raceway.
  • Integral Lugs are verified to be both flat and perpendicular to centerline of the raceway.
  • Action internal threads are verified to have no taper and are concentric with centerline of the raceway.
  • Bolt lugs are lapped to action lugs for minimum of 90% contact.
  • Bolt face is verified to be both flat and perpendicular to the centerline of the raceway.

All actions & barrels are indicated on two points in our True Bore Alignment System to have no more than .0002 run-out before any machining is performed.

All counter-boring and reaming is done using HSS live pilot reamers with an integrated barrel flushing system

Barrel shank profiles and tennon threads are cut specific to each individual action. Muzzle threads pitch diameter is cut to conform to Class 3A specifications.

True Bore Alignment System:

Stress is caused by the modern jacking bolts and holding barrels and receivers at opposite ends while only making adjustments on one end at a time. Soft jaws tend to compress in a very short amount of time which in turn we lose our precision centering as well as being poor for work holding rigidity. On another note, anytime we machine on a piece of metal with stress implied, even though when dialing in our part it is running near perfect when we take the stress off the part our true machining moves back to the stress free original position, which in turn leaves our machining warped. Many gunsmiths are very aware of this and are very careful to minimize all these possibilities, but with the True Bore Alignment System these issues can be eliminated completely and easily!

With the True Bore Alignment System, the barrel or receiver is held in the chuck and all the adjustments are made for angular and rotational misalignment on the True Bore Alignment System, therefore the stress that is implied during adjustments is only implied on the True Bore Alignment System and not on the part that is being held.

The True Bore Alignment System works extremely well for holding barrels, receivers, bolts etc...

Advantages of the True Bore Alignment System are

  • Versatility in holding receivers, barrels, bolts Etc... when machining
  • Increased productivity
  • Better surface finishes due to rigid holding
  • Holding barrels too short to go through the spindle while still having the ability to dial the bore in two points
  • Holding parts stress free
  • Extreme precision machining
  • Eliminating chucking error
Barrel Flushing System:

Our barrel flushing system creates a constant flow of cutting fluid starting from the muzzle and flowing to the chamber of a barrel being reamed on our lathe. The pilot and reamer are constantly lubricated, and sharp metal chips are flushed back out of the chamber. This system creates a cooler cutting environment, reduces stresses on the tooling and barrel and eliminates possible bore damage from sharp metal chips.
